- Development of new features and maintenance of a (cyber-) security test automation framework for automotive ECU's (python)
- Implementation of unit and integration tests for the test framework itself to fulfil code quality metrics
- Devising new testing concepts and technologies (both hardware and software) to expand the security test coverage to new areas of the products
- Development of automated test cases (in python) to verify the implementation and integration of security features in automotive ECU's (e.g. malware detection for Android apps/binary hardening verification/man-in-the-middle attacks)

We are looking for multiple senior software engineers to contribute to security-related software projects in our development team.
The projects are predominantly written in Python and C and run on devices ranging from vehicle ECU's through Raspberry Pi's and all the way up to custom virtualisation solutions running in server clusters.
We operate in a low-level/embedded automotive environment so the more Linux experience (and enthusiasm) you possess the better.
This is a great opportunity to get in at the beginning of a new but rapidly growing automotive security team with a company that is part of the Volkswagen Group.
What you can expect

- Python development experience (3+ years) on Linuxcommand line and standard *nix tools experienceshell scripting (e.g. bash) Revision control systems (e.g. git)
- Networking fundamentals (layers of the protocol stack, TCP/IP, client/server, etc.)
- Understanding of basic system and programming concepts (e.g. pipes, sockets, process life-cycle, threads, memory management, etc.)
- Fluent English (German advantageous)
- Nice to have skills and experience:
- Embedded software development experience (using a compiled language)
- Software integration and deployment pipelinesLinux kernel/system/toolchain hardening
- Containerisation and virtualisation technologies
- Networking security technologies (e.g. firewall, TLS, etc.)
- Cryptography (the fundamental concepts - not the maths!)
- Software packaging under Linux (e.g. deb/rpm or pip)
- Secure OS/trusted execution environment
- Pentesting/offensive security
- Reverse engineering
